We love coffee

Every bean, a labor of love

For coffee lovers, the growing, the careful selection, the attention given to pulping and maturation are essential at every step. We truly love what we do — and that's why, once you taste our coffee, you fall in love.

Selective harvest

Every cherry checked and picked at the right moment, for a clean, consistent cup.

Raised drying beds

Careful drying off the ground, preserving the coffee's sweetness and aroma.

Roasted at the farm

We roast on site, in small batches, the way each coffee asks for.

Our story

A family story

The pioneer

Every story has a beginning, and every beginning has its pioneer. Timo Plötz, from Germany, visited Brazil in 2011 and discovered Fazenda Pinheirense, in the Petúnia district. The wonder of seeing coffee being grown stayed in his heart long after he went back home.

The journey

A hobby became a profession. Timo dove into coffee, from the field to the cup: production, cupping, sensory analysis, barista skills and latte art. He put it into practice at the Roesttrommel café in Nuremberg, southern Germany.

The family

In July 2016, Timo returned to Brazil with his family and settled at Fazenda Pinheirense. At the end of 2017, starting from the fruit of exotic coffee varieties, he produced his own seeds and planted a new field.

The innovation

Alongside the conventional system, the farm introduced selective harvesting, drying on raised beds and controlled anaerobic fermentation.

#master's recipe

Classic pour-over

5 tablespoons of Petunia coffee500 ml of filtered water
  1. Place the paper filter in the dripper and set it over a carafe or thermos.
  2. Heat the water over medium heat. Turn it off as soon as the first small bubbles appear — boiling water burns the grounds and makes the coffee bitter.
  3. Pour a little hot water over the empty filter to warm it and remove the paper taste. Discard this water.
  4. Add the ground coffee and pour just enough water to wet it. Wait a few seconds.
  5. Pour the rest of the water in circular motions and let it drip without stirring. Serve right away.
